About...

Welcome to Granty’s Scouse Pie - a look at Liverpool life. I welcome your views, and your poems and I will review every one. I am currently working on my debut poetry book called Deluded and I will be featuring some extracts in this fab Blog. And I will have regular moans – something I want to get off my chest - and if you have anything you want to share then leave a comment using the "Comments" box at the bottom of each entry.

Granty June 8 , 2008

PETER GRANT'S SCOUSE PIE IS BACK . . . EDIBLE AGAIN.
READABLE... LOVEABLE
AND ANYTHING ELSE WITH 'BLE' IN IT.

I DON'T know why I said 'I'm back' or 'ready to cook again' because this Blog has suffered daily updates only because, like most people, I've been up to me (Scouse for MY) blood shot eyes in other stuff.
But, I'm cooking again. That means regulo eight.
I know that means something to do with the oven, but it sounds right with the Scouse Pie theme.
That said, I am 'Blogging well back. . .'
I am here with a whole load of angst, comments, discussion, cartoons, pictures of me with people I know or I think I know, so that I get a free glass of vino and get to say some decent things to (don't laugh) movers and shakers in a world full of credit crunches; pop idol phonies and people you just wouldn't want to be stuck in a lift with.
I went to The Priory . . . no, not that one ( bad habit to get into I was having nun of that aske Simon Cowl - ok bit forced) but, ah yes, those monks were protected by the Der Vinci code) and it did me halo-ed head in.
Mind you, I still get letters from them. I swear I didn't rob the ceramic donkey. I left early cos I had a prior engagement. Great gag.
Let's accept, confess even, there are plenty of blogs out there talking rubbish.
This one won't.
I promise.
Granty's Scouse Pie will take the lid off Liverpool Life - its people and the REAL types out there with or without a computer - or those bored rigid enough to reply on a wet afternoon when you can't get to a cultural event due to tickets going to other people. Satire.
I know it's difficult finding time to write for these un-paid for things, but If we can get something off our collective chests then, why not?
So, why aren't I getting paid for this?
See, it's working.

NOW.

Titter ye not, I am a Capricorn and I am a goat.
Inspired by this thought I then mused, I want to know what gets YOUR goat.
So in the section Granty's Goat (how truly inspired is that ?) Oh, don't answer.
I want your letters, poems, art work, one-liners, gripes, origami, house deeds etc., anything.
There will be a prize for the best e-mail of the month- by close of play each last Saturday noon.
It's Granty's Golden Gig ( GGG) token - a book, theatre tickets, t-shirt.
Phew, I didn't know I could talk such PR tripe.
But this is REAL.
That's an incentive . . . I wish I had one.
BUT I do.
I want t hear from YOU.
So c'mon write to me and I'll write back and then I won't feel this is some Nerd World I am wasting my time in.
Scouse Pie will be ready to be the Best Blog ever in 2008 and onwards.
The Blog everyone wants a slice of.
Corny, I know, but I've been working with people in power-dressing suits for such a long time it rubs off and you just want to sigh in a corridor.
UNTIL NOW
So, get Crusty . . . . in Granty's Scouse Pie
